I wrote these lyrics as a comment to how distracted we can get in life, distracted from what is important and what makes our heart beat on a whole as a human race. "We all need love to survive" is the message, recognizing our oneness by standing up for whats right etc. The verses talk about how we get caught up hiding behind our "masks" (at the time, i meant the proverbial mask. This line can really take on a whole new meaning in the now as we are actually having to wear masks all over the world). I talk about not giving your soul away while you're out making ends meet someway. This track is a reminder that we have the power to rise, to be more intentional, more focused on what serves us at the heart and how that creates a better situation for us all.
